524 had an excellent view of the diamond. These were my seats on Sept. 22nd last year for a White Sox game. The stadium was packed and the weather was perfect for an evening of baseball even though the Angels wouldn't be playoff bound.
Row G was our row. Anything below row G would have been excellent. Anything close to row R and so on is likely too high up there. The attendance for angels games are usually pretty strong so I wouldn't come here with the idea that you can just sit wherever you want because that's not true. Too many seats are often filled.

If you have seats for rows A or B, I would be wise to the fact that there is a large walkway in front of these seats leading down to the 400s. So there will constantly be food vendors, ushers, fans, security walking in front of your seats. Even though you can see over them just fine, it's still a lot of movement. The steps are also fairly steep even though there is plenty of railing to help guide you.

The best thing about major league baseball is having a downtown ballpark surrounded by great restaurants/bars and other attractions to encourage fans to come out early, party, stay late and make an event out of the day. If you've ever been to Wrigley Field or Fenway Park, perfect example. Angel Stadium of Anaheim doesn't have that. It's close to a few of the popular Anaheim attractions but for the most part is a concrete desert which is why tailgating is encouraged to fans.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 524, here is a Youtube video shot from there before an Angels/New York Yankees game at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
