ALL YOU CAN EAT SEATS!!!
Went to a Royals game vs. the White Sox and indulged myself on some free ballpark food. Well, you're really paying for it if you think about it.
318 is definitely the seats you want for a game since it's the very first section of the all you can eat seats and has a great look at the infield down below. Even though it's in the 300s, our seats were still on the 2nd level of seating. Many fans anticipate the "300s" to be on the 3rd tier but not at Kauffman.

The hot dogs were good but the buns were a little soggy on some of them. You definitely see some "heavier" fans in these sections that like to eat. They limit you to a few items each visit but you can drop them off at your seat and go right back if you want. What would really make these seats worth while would be the all you can drink alcohol too but no ballpark wants to encourage that. Kauffman is one of the most fan/family friendly ballparks in Major League Baseball.

Per the Royals website, section 318 is an 'All You Can Eat Section'. At $40 per ticket (2013), fans will be able to consume an unlimited amount of hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, pretzels and Pepsi in these seats. Upon entering your assigned section, you will be given a wristband from your section's usher. A wristband is mandatory to receive food. Food service stops at the end of the 7th inning and the primary food stand is just outside of section 321. Alcohol is not included in the ticket price of the All You Eat areas. Fans will only be allowed four items per visit to ensure fast service for everyone.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 318, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Royals game at Kauffman Stadium.
