Lifelong Astros fan, been coming to games since they played in the Astrodome all of those years ago. Minute Maid Park is the ballpark this great franchise deserved and they can take the roof off or leave it on whenever they want. No more fussing about indoor baseball!
Anyway, section 315 gives Astros fans a great vantage point which is all you really need to enjoy a baseball game IMO. It's right above the visitor's on deck circle, in my case, it was the Mets that day. This place only holds 40K people, seems much bigger than that but with 4 tiers of seats, the sections are all small and intimate. Could still hear the crack of the bat and the calls by the umpire from my seats. If you want wide/padded seats, you'll have to buy your tickets in the Diamond Club or the 2nd level club seats. But our seats here were just fine for 9 innings of baseball. Plenty of leg space, plenty of elbow space, aisles were nice and wide.
The Terrace level is much better than the View Level seats behind it. I try not to sit in the 400s and have done a good job at avoiding it over the years. You can find seats in the Terrace level for as little as $20 if you know where to look.

The food, on the other hand borders highway robbery. At least they allow fans to bring in their own food. But we always just eat at Home Plate Bar and Grill near the stadium. It's on Texas Street; nothing fancy about it, just has a lot of Astros fans that frequent it.
