If you like the hard checks and scuffles, I don't think there is a better seat than in 106. We paid roughly $250 for two seats in row E last season when the Penguins played the Tampa Bay Lightning. Compared to the old 'Igloo' the seating arrangements are amazing and so much more comfortable. Although I do miss that place and it's history.
If you're not a hockey fan and live in Pittsburgh, you still need to make it to the Consol Center to check out the league's best player at least once. And 106 is an excellent place to see your first game from. You'll get to see what the NHL is all about and be just a number of feet from it all.
