309 is a section that's hard to go wrong with. I saw the Senators play the New York Islanders from seats in row E. It wasn't the sexiest NHL matchup of all time but still a blast, nonetheless.
The narrowness of the rows can make it easy for you to lose your balance when trying to get out so be careful. If fans around you need out of the row, be prepared to stand. There is plenty of width at each seat but that also depends on how large of a person you are.
Getting to your seats is very easy; 309 is almost center ice.

You do have to worry about the sight lines at Scotiabank Place because there are three levels of seats rather than just two. If you've ever been to a three tiered NHL arena like Madison Square Garden, you know that you have to be selective about where you sit.

To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 309, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Senators/Montreal Canadiens game.
