To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 117, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Blue Jackets/Pittsburgh Penguins game at Nationwide Arena.
I sat in Section 117 on the lower level which was the visitor's attack zone for 2 periods. It found a $70 ticket on Ebay but only ended up paying $29 for it.
It was also great to see the players more up close in personal than in my usual Upper level selection at SJ Sharks games at HP Pavilion.
My only minor complaint was that the game wasn't sold out and there wasn't really any learned game related chatter in my section. Of course, I'm still wondering how the city of Columbus can support an NHL team and how they were even chosen for a franchise to begin with. Perhaps it works because the Cincinnati and Cleveland metro areas are within driving distance and attract hockey fans to Columbus.
