Have sat here for many Chiefs games over the years and it's a very underrated section of the stadium! 128 is home to some of the loudest and rowdiest Chiefs fans in the venue. It's probably the equivalent of the Raiders' "Black Hole", just minus the freak show with all of the ex convicts.
Sitting directly behind the uprights is only bad if your seat is directly behind it; it can act as a partial obstruction. You would have to sit there to believe it but most fans will enjoy the view these seats so give them a chance!
The rows are numbered 1-38. If you want the best possible view of the closest end zone, you will want to sit in rows 1-10. If you want the best possible view of the entire field; rows 25-38 will do you well. And those seats will give you a quick jump on everyone to the food lines, restrooms, exit gate, etc.
Gate G on the far end of the stadium will give you the quickest access to these seats without having to battle the lines and crowds outside of the Founder's Plaza and Tower Gates. Those are the main entrances to the stadium. The concourses are pretty wide but they still become jam packed before games and at halftime.

One of the newest features of the stadium is the Hall of Honor which is like the Chiefs Hall of Fame. The Pittsburgh Steelers have a similar setup at their stadium. It's a must see, especially for the old school Chiefs fans like my dad. The KC Royals next door also have a Hall of Fame on site as well and it's almost just as good. Even though the two Kansas City teams haven't done well in a long time, the city still loves and embraces both!

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 128, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Chiefs/Denver Broncos game at Arrowhead Stadium.
