I've been coming to Lions games at Ford Field since the place opened back in 2002 so I have a pretty good feel for where all of the best seats are. I would give section 223 a 3 out of possible 4 stars. Being in the corner subtracts from it's intimacy with the game play but that was the only downside. It's a very affordable section, our tickets were only $65 a piece and that was vs. the Chicago Bears.
These aren't club seats - not every seat in the 200s has club access so the seats are just regular seats and don't have the plush leather that the club seats have. You will also have no access to the club lounges and private restrooms but I would still sit here again because it's still a great place to watch an NFL game from. I think a lot of fans take the fact that this team plays indoors for granted. If you've ever been to Lambeau Field for a Packers game, you have no idea how miserable you can be if the weather is cold. Not that us tough Detroit fans couldn't take it but indoor football is definitely a luxury if you ask me.

If you're a first timer to Ford Field, the best tailgating is going to be in the Eastern Market lots north of the stadium. Lions fans don't get a ton of recognition in the world of tailgating but they can tailgate with the best of them. If you just want a good place to eat before the game, Cheli's Chili Bar and Hockeytown Cafe next to Comerica Park are great pre game spots.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 223, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Lions game at Ford Field.
