Madison Square Garden is big but not nearly as big as I had anticipated. We wanted the best seats possible for my son's birthday, so I purchased two seats in row 21, the 2nd to last row via Stubhub. (Got a great deal last minute).
Seats are comfortable and had padding but they were not "lazy boy" comfortable. There's something very relaxing about sitting right on the center line, I guess because you don't have to maneuver yourself to follow the basketball.
Would have loved to have had these seats in the Patrick Ewing/Charles Oakley days but Carmelo and Amare are bringing in a new era of Knicks basketball.

If you're looking at seats in section 117, have some confidence, these are the best seats in the arena although the seats seemed smaller than what they used to be. You're going to have to open up your wallet a lot if you want to sit here, just letting you know. I would say the average ticket is around $500 per seat. But there is no going wrong with center court seats; you'll be close to every play.
