Section 118 was phenomenal. Sat there on January 9th, 2012 when the Charlotte Bobcats were in town. We had row 20 and it was one of the last few rows in the section.

We had the perfect view from row 20, not too close to the court, not too far away either. Close enough to still hear all of the players calling for the ball and only within a few feet of the concourse area so we had no steps to climb up and down. We were also across the floor from the Bobcats sideline.
When you sit behind either team's bench, you miss a lot of the game because of all of the commotion on that side of the floor. On the side section 118 sits on, it's like watching the game on tv except you still have all of the ambiance the Garden gives to fans. The Mecca of Basketball!

Getting to the arena...always take the Metro to Penn Station. It's underneath the arena and if you live in the New York area, you already know better than to try and drive your vehicle downtown. Plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area once you get off of the train. If you're planning on staying downtown, I recommend the Holiday Inn express on 29th or the Comfort Inn Times Square.

To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 118, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Knicks vs. Nets game. Great view and these are club seats.
