To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from Premier 17, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Clippers/Toronto Raptors game at the Staples Center.

Pretty average section but I liken the 'Premier Experience' to sitting first class on an airplane. Do you need all of those 'extras' to enjoy the experience? Absolutely not.
Exclusivity is the selling point for Premier seats.
I was surprised with these seats as a birthday gift from the family. The Clippers were taking on the Utah Jazz, a weeknight game so the Staples Center was half empty and there were plenty of food seats readily available.
I was close enough to make out all of the players but far enough that I didn't feel "close" and in touch with what was going on. Too far away. I think the premier seats appeal more to the casual NBA fan than an avid fan like myself.

Parking was a little bit of a headache at the beginning but there are four major highways nearby so it wasn't that big of a deal getting out after the game. The area surrounding the Staples Center is a little shady but I've never had a problem; there are always thousands of fans around.

The Staples Center is worth one visit; preferably a Lakers game. But I would be lying if I said that I didn't think this place was overrated.
