Had a good experience in section 213 (row F). It's right where the third base line meets home plate. A good bit of the seats will be in the shade from the overhang from the club level. All of the terrace sections sit a little further back, not higher up but you still get a better view of the deepest parts of the outfield. The Angels were playing the Texas Rangers the night I went.

Best of all, we were really close to the concourse area for quick access to the restrooms and quick exit after the game. Best access point is through the three gates behind home plate. There is a statue of Gene Autry outside of gate 2 near home plate that makes for a great photo opportunity.
Not a ton to do in the immediate area of the stadium so you will want to visit the many establishments along Katella Avenue if you want something to eat. I highly recommend 'The Catch'. Tailgating is encouraged but alcohol isn't allowed during tailgating so where's the fun in that?

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 213, here is a Youtube video shot from there during an Angels/New York Yankees game at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
