The New York Yankees have announced that they will be partnering with City Winery to bring a permanent wine bar to Yankee Stadium. The wine bar will be called “City Winery Wine Bar” and will be located outside of section 106 on the lower level of Yankee Stadium. Together, the two will partner to create New York Yankees themed wines. The wine bar will also offer other red and white varietals, Moet & Chandon Champagne, and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.

The City Winery Wine Bar will sell wine both by the glass and by the bottle and will be the company’s first wine bar in a professional sports stadium. Bottled wine will be poured into a shareable carafe that fans can take to their seats or other areas throughout Yankee Stadium.

City Winery has eight franchise locations in six American cities including New York City, Atlanta, Nashville, Washington, DC, Boston, and Chicago. The company’s New York City location can be found at 155 Varick Street and will open their ninth location in Philadelphia next year. City Winery is unique in that it operates as both an urban winery and a music venue. City Winery collectively hosts more than 2,000 concerts annually at its venues.

Yankee Stadium made headlines at the beginning of the season when they announced that they would be adding a beer foam art machine to select Yankee Stadium concession stands. However, Major League Baseball quickly objected and the New York Yankees nixed the idea.
