Arrowhead Stadium has long been known as one of the best NFL stadiums for tailgating. Several weeks ago, the Kansas City Chiefs announced they would be making a major change to their tailgating policy. Beginning immediately, football fans will be required to either enter Arrowhead Stadium or leave the stadium grounds after kickoff. This change has angered Kansas City Chiefs fans, however, the Chiefs organization is trying to avoid liability issues after a 2013 incident in which a fan died after a fight in the Arrowhead Stadium parking lot.

On a memorable night that ended in quarterback Baker Mayfield leading the Cleveland Browns over the New York Jets in primetime, another national story took place in the stands of FirstEnergy Stadium. A Cleveland Browns fan captured a lost possum in the stands, placed it in a box, and released it outside of the stadium.

The New York Yankees have announced that they will be partnering with City Winery to bring a permanent wine bar to Yankee Stadium. The wine bar will be called “City Winery Wine Bar” and will be located outside of section 106 on the lower level of Yankee Stadium. Together, the two will partner to create New York Yankees themed wines. The wine bar will also offer other red and white varietals, Moet & Chandon Champagne, and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.

The Carolina Hurricanes have announced that they will be honoring the Hartford Whalers by wearing the defunct team’s old green uniforms for two games vs. the Boston Bruins. Those games will take place on December 23, 2018 at PNC Arena in Raleigh and on March 5, 2019 at the TD Garden in Boston. The Hartford Whalers relocated to North Carolina in 1997 after struggling with financial and attendance woes in Hartford, Connecticut. The Hurricanes will be donning the green jerseys the Whalers wore between the 1985 and 1991 NHL seasons. The Boston Bruins were the Hartford Whalers’ primary rival during the franchise’s tenure in Connecticut.

Heinz Field Seating Chart, Pittsburgh Steelers.

Where To Sit At Heinz Field

Heinz Field may not even be the best sports stadium in Pittsburgh’s North Shore neighborhood. (Read our official review of PNC Park). It may not be a historic as the old Three Rivers Stadium which sat on the same property. However, come Sunday, it’s one of the most happening stadiums in the National Football League and is home to the league’s most successful and historic franchise; the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Chase Field Seating Chart, Arizona Diamondbacks.

Where To Sit At Chase Field

Chase Field, formerly known as Bank One Ballpark, is not a baseball stadium that gets a ton of press compared to ballparks like Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field, and Fenway Park. However, at the time of it’s opening in 1998, Chase Field was one of the more groundbreaking stadiums in Major League Baseball. The Arizona Diamondbacks were an expansion franchise at the time and the retractable roof was built to protect fans from the violent Arizona heat during the summers.

Miller Park Seating Chart, home of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Where To Sit At Miller Park

Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, was one of Major League Baseball’s first stadiums with a retractable roof. The roof is necessary due to Milwaukee’s colder temperatures compared to the rest of the league. Miller Park also offers an exciting tailgating scene which is rare for Major League Baseball stadiums due to it's location several miles from downtown Milwaukee.

T-Mobile Park Seating Chart. Home of the Seattle Mariners.

Where To Sit At T-Mobile Park

T-Mobile Park is a Major League Baseball stadium that often flies under the radar in terms of press and popularity. The Seattle Mariners haven't made the MLB playoffs since 2001. Therefore, the Mariners fan base though devout, are often very quiet during games. T-Mobile Park was one of the first ballparks with a retractable roof which is a necessity given Seattle’s unpredictable cycles of rain. It has one of the best and most eclectic food offerings in Major League Baseball as well as the league’s largest scoreboard (Mariners Vision). T-Mobile Park’s construction in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood, formerly an industrial area, has led to rapid growth in the area. Centurylink Field, home of the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, is located next door to T-Mobile Park.

Tropicana Field Seating Chart. Home of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Where To Sit At Tropicana Field

Tropicana Field is one of the smallest ballparks in Major League Baseball. It is also widely considered to be the worst ballpark in Major League Baseball. For starters, the stadium is located in St. Petersburg, Florida and sits a good 30-40 minutes from Tampa Bay, Florida. Tropicana Field is also a domed stadium without a retractable roof meaning baseball fans are unable to enjoy the beautiful Tampa weather during the summer months. Tropicana Field also has catwalks on the interior near the ceiling that often interfere with home runs during games. If you’ve seen Tampa Bay Rays games on television, you’ve likely noticed how discolored the turf on the field looks as well. And to top things off, Rays home games are often boring because the fan base only gets behind the team during the playoffs.

The Baltimore Ravens recently announced that they would be switching to a digital ticketing system at M&T Bank Stadium. The new system will require fans to download the Ravens Mobile App. This change will undoubtedly become a nuisance for many Baltimore Ravens fans, especially those that are older and aren’t as familiar with digital technology. However, the Baltimore Ravens have dealt with many cases of ticketing fraud in seasons past and were ready to make a change that will hopefully lead to fewer headaches for everyone.

AT&T Park Seating Chart, San Francisco Giants.

Where To Sit At Oracle Park

Oracle Park, formerly AT&T Park, and Pacific Bell Park, is often regarded as one of the best and most beautiful ballparks in Major League Baseball, especially when compared to Oakland Coliseum (Oakland Athletics) across the Bay. Oracle Park provides an excellent view of McCovey Cove and the Pacific Ocean, Alcatraz Island in the distance and has close proximity to the popular Fisherman’s Wharf. Aside from the views of the Pacific Ocean, what really sets Oracle Park apart from other Major League ballparks is it’s plethora of premium seating options. That’s expected considering the vast corporate presence in the Bay Area and nearby Silicon Valley.

U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings, will host the 2019 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four. Due to the vast amount of natural sunlight that seeps into the venue, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority is spending $5.2M on blackout curtains and darkening solution. The blackout curtains will limit the glare on the basketball court during day games. In all, more than 500,000 square feet of windows will need to be covered.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be the first team in the National Football League to build a dog park into it’s home stadium at TIAA Bank Field. The organization’s primary goal is to help the Jacksonville Humane Society raise money to provide services to needy animals in the North Florida area. The dog park will be named Pet Paradise Park and will be found in the south end zone of TIAA Bank Field.

The Atlanta Hawks will be rolling out fan-friendly concession prices at Philips Arena during the 2018-2019 NBA season. The move will follow a multi-phase renovation of Philips Arena and a successful experiment in the reduction of concession prices at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta Falcons). The concession items will be set up as a value menu; Philips Arena will still offer premium concession items as well.

PNC Park Seating Chart, Pittsurgh Pirates

PNC Park set a new standard for the way Major League Baseball teams build their baseball stadiums. The scenery PNC Park provides to baseball fans during the game is unrivaled. From the Riverwalk, to the views of the gorgeous downtown Pittsburgh skyline, to the Roberto Clemente Bridge beyond the outfield, to the quirky rotunda in left field, to the passenger boats that dock outside of the stadium, PNC Park is unlike any other ballpark. Our staff wanted to provide a thorough breakdown of the PNC Park seating chart to help baseball fans decide where to sit before purchasing their Pittsburgh Pirates tickets.

Oriole Park at Camden Yards Seating Chart, Baltimore Orioles.

Where To Sit At Oriole Park At Camden Yards

Oriole Park at Camden Yards is widely considered to be one of the best ballparks in Major League Baseball. In fact, Camden Yards set the tone for the way Major League ballparks would be designed following the cookie-cutter stadium era of the 1970s and 1980s. Other groundbreaking ballparks built around the same time as Oriole Park at Camden Yards include Coors Field (Colorado Rockies) and Progressive Field (Cleveland Indians).

Rogers Centre Seating Chart, Toronto Blue Jays.

Where To Sit At The Rogers Centre

The Rogers Centre was the first stadium in Major League Baseball to have a retractable roof which was necessary due to Canada’s cold temperatures when the baseball season begins in April. Many baseball fans consider the Rogers Centre to be an outdated baseball stadium compared to the other 29 stadiums and they wouldn’t be wrong. The concourses are bland, the stadium doesn’t have an extensive amount of premium seating for fans, there are no escalators that service the upper level, no mixed-use developments outside of the Rogers Centre and the seats themselves are dated.

Comerica Park Seating Chart, Detroit Tigers.

Where To Sit At Comerica Park

Comerica Park is one of the most underrated ballparks in Major League Baseball although it can’t quite measure up to the old Tiger Stadium in terms of history and nostalgia. Give it some time. What’s great about Comerica Park is that it is in close proximity of both Ford Field (Detroit Lions) and Little Caesars Arena (Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings) so fans are sometimes able to squeeze other professional sporting events when visiting Comerica Park. The stadium is also close to Greektown and the popular Greektown Casino which offers plenty of entertainment for fans before and after games.

Coors Field has been through several changes over the last few seasons as the Colorado Rockies organization aim to improve and modernize the stadium. Recent additions include The Rooftop in upper center field, upgrades to the club level and club level concessions, and a new scoreboard in left center field. Up next will be the construction of a mixed-use development in the west parking lot which is located on the corner of 19th and Wazee Streets in downtown Denver.

NRG Stadium is a very modern and up-to-date NFL stadium in regards to fan amenities and technology. Thanks in part, to the renovations the Houston Texans completed before hosting Super Bowl LI in 2017. The Houston Texans will now be renovating many behind-the-scenes areas of NRG Stadium.
