The Centre Bell is a big arena so I already knew when I bought the tickets that we would be near the ceiling; we sat in row C, the second to last row. The huge overhang is directly in front of your face (holds the lights and cameras for concerts and shows). It doesn't obstruct your view of the ice but you can't look across the arena, you have to look straight down at the ice to see anything.

The scoreboard can also obstruct a decent portion of your view of the lower arena and it can become hard to see what's being presented on it even though it's the biggest scoreboard in the NHL.

If you can't afford good seats, wait a while before going to a hockey game, save some more money and then get some seats on the first level.
