To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 121, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Sabres/Ottawa Senators game at the First Niagara Center.

121 has all of the hard hitting NHL action you can handle. The corners are the best for all of the crash and bang and fights. Tickets aren't as expensive as one might think; maybe $70 per ticket on most nights, you may be able to find them cheaper online.
Seats are comfortable. The closer you sit to the actual glass, the fewer seats there will be in your row and the more you will be able to soak in. You really can't go wrong here.
