Seat view from section 224 at Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers

Even though Heinz Field is actually one of the smaller NFL stadiums, where you sit makes a big difference; take it from someone that has been going to Steelers games since this place opened a little over a decade ago. Anywhere along the sideline has the best view. There's just something about the end zones that I don't like and section 224 re-affirmed that feeling last season when I sat there for the Ravens game. Since the opposite end zone is open aired, the wind comes in strongly off of the three rivers so the wind can be pretty terrible in the end zones.
If you can afford the club seats which are the 200s along the sideline, aim for those because you'll be able to warm up or cool off indoors before the game and during halftime.
Other than that, our seats in 224 were comfortable. Knees were almost touching the row in front of us but we stood so much during the game that it was a non-issue.

The worst part about attending Steelers games is obviously dealing with the parking. The construction of the new "T" will make things a lot easier for those that park downtown from now on. Some lots near the stadium charge as much as $30-$45 to park your car which is on par with the parking you'll see at other NFL stadiums.
I think that if you can park in a garage and just walk from downtown you are much better served. Some of the $5 garages I know of are the 6th/Fort Duquesne Garage, the 9th street/Penn avenue garage and the Oliver Garage on Oliver Avenue near Wood Street.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 224, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Steelers/Oakland Raiders game at Heinz Field.
