Had row 8. I sat in seat 9, my wife had seat 10.
All of the rows up there were tight and hard to get into without asking every other fan to stand up to let you by. I hate asking other fans to stand up because I tend to venture to and from the restroom and the beer stand quiet a bit during games. I guess you could say I'm antsy.
There are no cup holders in the upper deck so you will be required to hang onto your beer the entire time making it impossible to clap and cheer loud when the Chiefs do something good on the field.
So all in all, decent view but don't expect much room for your knees which will be uncomfortable for many fans. And if you're wearing a Broncos or Raiders jersey into Arrowhead, you can be made uncomfortable in a different way. Keep that in mind.

Each upper end zone also has a scoreboard which made it easy to keep up with where the ball was spotted. When the Chiefs are doing well and are on defense, you can't even hear yourself think. Even though I've only sat on the upper level for the Chiefs games I've been to, I can attest that Arrowhead is definitely the NFL's loudest stadium. Even when the team isn't doing so well which is often, the fans are still into the game and loud like it's a playoff run.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 317, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Chiefs/San Diego Chargers game at Arrowhead Stadium.
