Was finally able to take my wife to her first Texans game, she had been begging me to take her but our work schedules never allowed it. I usually went with a buddy to games. So finally, we got to see a Texans/St. Louis Rams game together. We bought our tickets on the NFL Ticket Exchange which is the safe way to do it but they charge way to many extra fees and surcharges. The layout of the seats in 123 were great. Every row had the same exact amount of seats as the other rows. Could see well over the row of fans below us. Fans were very friendly and loud. Even from the 10 yard line, we could see the entire length of the field without any issue and were right there to see any touchdowns scored in the North end zone. Would love to sit here again. Paid $300 for two seats and I would pay it again. If the Texans have a good record when you go and are competitive in the game, I'm willing to bet Reliant is one of the top 5 loudest stadiums in the NFL. You'll have to see it to believe it. I also love the new jumbo trons they've added to the place. Was it worth all of that taxpayer money? The jury is still out but it looks cool and helps keep fans in touch with the game.
Let me also add that I was a big fan of the Astrodome. It was the first of it's kind and had a lot of history there, just like Soldier Field and Lambeau which are still used for games today. I won't say Houston didn't need Reliant Stadium to be built because we all know the incentive was to get more club and luxury seating for big business. But I think it's always eerie coming to games and looking over and seeing the Astrodome still standing all by itself in the distance.
