Seat view from section 140 at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions

140 was a great endzone section even though I normally prefer the sidelines at Ford Field. It's extremely hard to follow the game when both teams are about to score in the opposite endzone. Because there is no grass on the field, the speed of the game is normally very fast paced, much more so than stadiums that have real grass as their surface.

Perhaps what I liked the most about sitting in 140 was being close to the tunnel that the Lions run out of before the game- you will understand why during the introductions. (The visitor's also run out of this tunnel which I found odd).

There is plenty to do outside of the arena both before and after the game. I highly recommend either Hockeytown Cafe or Cheli's Chili, both are primarily themed towards the Red Wings but are great sports bars; there will be a lot of Lions fans in those places. I would avoid parking in Ford Field's adjacent parking garages at all costs.
