I'm probably one of the few fans that prefers end zone seating at Lions games, call me crazy but the seats along the sidelines are so overpriced. I know I can always score a good seat near the field in the end zone seats without breaking the bank - No matter how good or bad the Lions are doing. (More often bad than good.)
I sat in row 14, row 21 last season for the Texans game on Thanksgiving Day. This was the game Ndamokung Suh got in trouble for possibly hitting the QB in the groin. Oh well, the jury is still out on that but I liked these seats.
Crowd noise level was great. The closer your seats are to the field in 114, the less amount of fans there will be in your row which makes it easier to enter and exit. The rows are super wide compared to the way the seats were at the old Pontiac Silverdome but it doesn't take much to top that dump.

There are more than 40 rows in most of the lower level sections and higher maybe be better for most fans. The higher up you sit (rows 25-40), the better you will be able to see the other end zone. That's the only downside to end zone seating is being able to see the other end zone and know where the ball is spotted.
There are two jumbo screens, one in each end zone. They're sharp but are wide and not tall enough in my opinion. They're still useful though.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 114, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Lions/St. Louis Rams game at Ford Field.
