To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 217, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Timberwolves/Miami Heat game at the Target Center.

These nose bleed seats are pretty piss poor at the target center but the sight lines were ok. There were only two levels of seating, not three or four like what you will find at the Staples Center in LA. I bought seats for row H on the street from a scalper. $15 for two seats, you can't really beat that. The Portland Trail Blazers were in town and I was anxious to see if Greg Oden was really as bad as people say he is. My findings were inconclusive.

In 2004, most of the seats were re-done and they even implemented a new seating arrangement, primarily on the lower level.
The seats in the upper level have relatively steep stairs but not as bad as the United Center's in Chicago. Those are high up there. And a few of the seats here have slightly obstructed views due to the scoreboard, which hangs over mid court. However, the upper level seats that run parallel to the court (sidelines) are not too bad and will be a much better alternative to section 217.
