Whoever constructed the Staples Center did an excellent job in making the center court seats the largest section on the upper level. That gives fans a great line of sight for the game. The view from section 302 isn't all that different. I could see every inch of the court. We were on the same side of the arena as the team benches.
Binoculars will be needed from certain rows. They DO NOT rent binoculars to fans at the Staples Center. There are 15 rows total in section 302 so sit according to your preferences. I had row 2 and had practically no steps to climb. Plus, the closer to row 1, the quick your access to the concessions.

Just outside of this section is a 'Camacho's Cantina'. They have your usual Tex-Mex but the nachos are amazing but cost upwards of $6. Ridiculous. You're better off eating at Rosa Mexicano at LA Live before the game and saving money on concessions.

To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 302, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons game.
