Seat view from section 216 at the Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers

I've had these seats only once for a Lakers game. But I've sat all over the Staples Center for various Clippers, Lakers and Kings games over the years. Lakers games are way more pricey so I always have to opt for the less desirable seats.

216 isn't bad but it does sit behind the backboard on the second level. Unlike the first level end zone seats, you can see the opposite side of the court rather well from this section. I did think the seating was a little cramped but that's all according to the size of the person I guess. I'm 6'4 and usually have some type of trouble in tight spaces no matter where I go.

If you sit here, it will still feel like the first level. Just a little higher up and further back, the game just doesn't seem as intimate and the crowd is always laid back as it is.
The arena ushers keep the lower sections sealed off pretty tightly. There are curtains upon entering each section that definitely give new meaning to "showtime". But if you are "that guy" that purchases upper level seats and then likes to move down to better seats, I would imagine section 216 may be one of your most likely options but don't quote me on that.
