The rows in 454 were very wide across so expect a hard time getting out if you get stuck in the middle of your designated row. I had row 6, seat 4 so luckily I was close to the aisle. There wasn't much room for my legs but I maintained and was able to sit thru 9 innings in 90 degree heat. The Cardinals were playing the Washington Nationals - always a great series to see in person.
There were no other sections to the left of our seats which I liked - less people around.

The game can be easily followed from these seats, especially with the two giant scoreboards in center field that show replays. The 400s are a little high up but I could still hear the crack of the back and the grunts of the umpire calling balls and strikes.
There are elevators near all of the stairwells that will take fans to the top where these seats are. You have to look for them and a lot of fans don't know where the elevators are, so check out the Busch Stadium map before visiting.

Also give Mike Shannon's restaurant a try. It's down the street from the stadium and is always packed with the Cardinals faithful. No better fans in baseball! Always passionate and always tasteful.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 454, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Cardinals/Kansas City Royals game at Busch Stadium.
