If you're going to sit in the upper view seats, why not get the best? 521 will put you directly behind the center fielder for the ultimate view from up top. Have sat there for a number of games and there are no bad seats behind home plate, even in row R at the top. Sit according to your preference because there are a lot of affordable options at Angel Stadium, especially the outfield pavilion seats. The ushers/security for this section are usually pretty good about checking your ticket because so many fans want to sit here since it's the most ideal place to sit in the upper deck. If you have a ticket in the last few rows, you should be able to stretch out and sit in whichever seat. The gates open only 90 minutes prior to first pitch so getting there early isn't going to leave you a ton of time to do much before the game. Not that there is a ton to do, Angel Stadium is a pretty run of the mill ballpark. It's most noticeable feature obviously, it the
rock display in left center field called the "California Spectacular". It has a neat waterfall in the back of it.
There is a great pizza joint in the ballpark called Nicky Enzos. Don't think it's an area chain because I haven't seen it anywhere else. There is a Panda Express on the bottom level but it's only average Chinese food, nothing like PF Chang's. If you're looking for a sit down style restaurant, the Knothole Restaurant is pretty good but it's hard to get a seat in there.
