For $4 per ticket and $1 per ticket if you're over the age of 55 or under the age of 12, it's hard to find a better bargain at Coors Field than sitting in this section aka "The RockPile". Fans up there love to drink and it's probably the most notorious seating area of the ballpark. (Wrigley Field has the bleachers, Fenway Park has the Green Monster seats, etc).
I will warn you that some of the seats are colored purple which may seem kind of silly but it denotes that you're one mile above sea level (The Mile High City).
These are also uncomfortable bleacher seats but at least there are backs to them. If the sections are full which they can be if everyone sits to their assigned seat, each fan will be pretty crammed together which is often a bad thing. Baseball games should be about comfort but you can't beat getting to see a Major League Baseball game for $4 each. I think that price does go up for select games vs. the Dodgers and some of the inter league series.

Pricing for food has changed a little bit this season and I noticed that our favorite restaurant at Coors Field, the Blue Moon Brewery (open to all ticket holders) has cut food costs, added new items and definitely cut portion sizes a bit. Their nachos are less than half the size that they were in previous years and the quality of the food isn't as good but I guess that's how they cut costs.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 401, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Rockies game at Coors Field.
