Cubs play a lot of day games so this section will give you a lot of shade from the hot sun. Beam pole wasn't in our way but some seats in 223 will have it in their plain view which sucks but it will mostly be blocking the first base area. Definitely do some research before buying your Cubs tickets! Sitting here is so much better than the Wrigley Field bleachers which are first come first serve but don't allow you to access the rest of Wrigley Field.

This is a small, compact old ballpark which means you have some really good seats and some really bad seats all around. With that in mind, section 223 can either be really really good or really really bad depending on which seats you choose. I've sat in 223 a number of times over the years; been coming to Cubs games since I was 9 years old.

If you sit in rows 1-8 in the terrace area, you are usually free of obstructions but any seat in the teen rows will have a pole blocking some part of the field. But from almost every seat in 223, you can see all of home plate with no problems.
So enjoy your 'Old Style' beer and let us know what you think of 223! GO CUBS!!!

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 223, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Cubs game at Wrigley Field.
