To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 116, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Sharks vs. Dallas Stars game.

Gave my brother the HP Pavilion experience when I took him to a Sharks vs. Vancouver Canucks game last season. Being this close really gave him a perspective on what hockey is all about.

What I love the most about section 116 is being not only on the blue line and near center ice but being able to look directly across the ice to see all of the player substitutions.
Your seats will be in close proximity to the penalty box which is cool. And the seats are spacious with plenty of leg and elbow room.
Most importantly, all of the plays seem to happen directly in front of your eyes with little need to adjust your body. This is important because hockey is a very fluid game with little stoppage.
