My seats in 301, row L were great. We could see everything and the seats faced the visitor's net (Ottawa Senators that night) which didn't see too much challenge that night, lol. You won't want to get seats too high up in the upper level simply because the ceiling hangs somewhat low, you want some overhead.

In 1998, the Islanders had to vacate this arena while inspection crews filed in to see if this place was safe enough to hold games in. That should tell you plenty about this place. During that same year, the bathrooms were in such bad shape, portable toilets were brought in.
Truth be told, the Islanders need a new arena. In order to keep up with the rest of the league, the new arena needs to be equipped with suites and club seats which are big money makers and wouldn't be that hard of a sell for hockey in New York.
