To give you an idea what the view of the ice is like from section 208, here is a Youtube video shot from there during warmups at a Dallas Stars game at American Airlines Center.

Section 208 is one of the best seating options in the building. We were the next section over from mid-ice. Right on the blue line; not bad at all. We were right in between the face-off circles and the blue line and across the ice from the Stars and Penguins benches.

I was surprised at how well I could recognize the players from this height. There were only a few rows to the entire section, row H was the last row. If you are able to buy tickets for 208, row A, go for it. Having an unobstructed view with no fans moving around in front of you would be BEAUTIFUL.

This arena has something for everybody though I wouldn't say the Platinum levels are for every fan. You won't find your hardcore/fanatical Stars fans in these sections (they do exist) so don't expect an overly rowdy atmosphere. Behind the nets and in the corners of the arena as well as the top deck is where you will usually be able to find the Stars faithful.
