Seat view from section 118 at Fedex Field, home of the Washington Redskins

I've seen my share of games at FedexField over the years. The team, not the owner, coach or the stadium keeps me coming back. I purchased tickets off of the NFL Ticket Exchange to sit in this section. Most of the seats in 118 will sit on the 5 yard line to the side of the east endzone. Good view but I wanted more out of them. Tickets were affordable which is why we ended up in the far corner of the stadium but I would always recommend sitting on the 4th level or the 1st level due to the obstructions fans encounter in the 200s and 300s. There should be no obstructions in any NFL stadium, period and Snyder is 100% to blame, he's the owner and a lot of the stadium's improvements have been privately financed. And instead of making "Party Patios/Decks" in the upper end zones, they should have torn out all of the seats with obstructed views just for the sake of the fans.

When making hotel arrangements, please remember that the actual stadium is in Landover, a suburb of Washington DC. There are a few nice hotels nearby; the Holiday Inn Express, the Residence Inn Largo and the Radisson Largo. They aren't really within walking distance of the stadium but you can easily take a cab from there for practically nothing. If you're staying in DC to see the other sights, you can ride the Metro's Blue Line to the Morgan Boulevard stop which is a little less than a mile from the stadium. It's quiet the walk but thousands of other fans make it every Sunday there is a home game. This is the way to go if you're staying in the city and plan on drinking.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 118, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Redskins/Atlanta Falcons game at Fedex Field.
