Went to a last minute preseason game vs. the New York Giants. Preseason games are the only way I'm able to see the Steelers in person anymore each season. If I'm able to afford a regular season home game, it's only for one game that season.
For the game vs. the Giants, we had row N which is actually the 2nd row in the section, we were excited when we found that out. Our section was very small, another thing I liked about it. The rows that have two letters sit in the back and honestly, the view from those rows will be just as good. Translation? Every seat in 117 is a good seat so you should have no hesitations about where to sit. The general area is a little congested with fans but we were close to the field, had a great view of the video board in the south end zone so I couldn't complain at all.

Word of the wise to the lady Steeler fans concerning the NFL bag policies - bring a wrist purse and leave the large bags at home. They won't let you in. You ARE allowed to bring in your food into the stadium but it must be in a see-thru zip loc bag. This will save you a lot of money at concessions because even hot dogs and nachos are approaching $10 now. The concession stand "Red Zone Express" has hot dogs with sauerkraut, FYI.
Jerome Bettis' Grille 36 is near the stadium if you want to save some money and eat before the game but you have to get there wayyyy early to be able to get a table. Same applies for Pittsburgh Pirate games.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 117, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Steelers/San Diego Chargers game at Heinz Field.
