Attended a Saints/Buccaneers game and we sat in the cheap seats - section 620, and to be fair the view was excellent. Nearly paid more to get closer to the action but I'm glad we didn't because it was an expensive day even though we bought inexpensive tickets. The seats are small without much leg room and when you're seated next to a dude that's about 6'8, they will feel even smaller. The stadium appeared to be only about 70% full but it was very loud, and because the Saints were without Sean Payton, they weren't doing too well and the bandwagon fans seemed to all stay at home. The Saints went on to win 41-0 so it wasn't much of a game but I'll take a Saints win any way we can get it.
The beer was overpriced and so were the mixed drinks but even on Bourbon Street, all of the drinks are expensive o get used to it. The food was excellent; the Superdome has a great mix of stadium food with southern/Louisiana specialties like Jambalaya, rice, alligator sausage, waffle fries.
There are NO TOURS of the Superdome at all so unless you're going to a game or concert, you won't be able to see the inside part of it on your visit so plan accordingly. WHO DAT!!!

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 620, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Saints/Arizona Cardinals game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
