I'm a season ticket holder for section 229. It's a great perspective even though it's a little removed from the field. We are just above the tunnel leading to the Colts locker room. We always have two jumbo trons in plain view from our seats, one in each corner. The first 4 rows here are small in stature, maybe 10-12 seats to a row. To get to these seats, you'll want to take the HHGregg gate which is the entrance off of Missouri Street. Finding your seats will be easy after that. There are plenty of food stands nearby and most of them take credit card. Wish these seats were padded like the club seats but unfortunately, they aren't and don't offer any amenities aside from a decent angle on the field. We may upgrade to better seats on down the road but for now they're good.
If you've never been to this stadium before, it's the ideal road trip if you're a visiting fan. The exterior of Lucas Oil resembles Bankers Life Fieldhouse a little (home of the Pacers, also downtown). Lots of brick, very boxy and old school looking. The area surrounding the stadium is still developing. When you walk in the main atrium, there are murals of great Colts moments and a main stage where live music is often playing before the game. Touchdown Town outside of the stadium also has live music and plenty of games for fans with food vendors, cheap beer, etc. If you're going to stay in one of the many downtown hotels, some of them have skywalks leading right to the stadium which is extremely convenient.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 229, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Colts/New York Jets game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
