Section 516 has many great seats in the first 15 rows. After that, the view takes a serious decline with each additional row. I would buy these seats as my season tickets if I could afford the Permanent Seat License (how the owners paid for the stadium). Season tickets per person for section 516 would be a little more than $500 per person otherwise - it's usually just my girlfriend and I at games.
You won't get the coveted view of the Charlotte skyline from these seats since Uptown is behind you on this side of the stadium. I will also warn that the steps are at a steep angle, so walking up and down the steps to your seats isn't that safe or is it fun. Elderly Panther fans should steer clear of the upper level seats.
Tailgating before Panthers games is also fun; there isn't too much of a variety by the way of food so we eat whatever we want in the stadium lots before the game. The best tailgates are for games at 4pm or Sunday night games because fans have more time to drink and party. Lots 1 and 99 are popular, most of the lots are surface lots and are very small with few spaces.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 516, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Panthers game at Bank of America Stadium.
