I've been to a number of Spurs games over the years and the upper levels are great if you just want to see a live game and are on a budget. Section 230 is among the prime areas to find the cheapest tickets because it is in the upper level corner.

I saw the Charlotte Bobcats while they were in town. I wish the upper level seats had more leg room; you'll definitely have to stretch your legs after each quarter because there isn't a ton of standing up there. There are definitely a few fans that like to drink heavily and yell expletives towards the refs and players even though no one can hear them. Don't worry, as long as you're at the game, you'll be happy.

If you get the chance, also check out the restaurant on the first level that has the newspaper theme to it. It's neat and they have some great food though expensive.
