Our seats in section 417 were in row 6, the second to last row. And the seats we had were seats 2 and 3. Not a bad view. Sitting in the end zone on the lower level sucks being behind the hoop but on the upper level, you don't even notice. 417 will put you pretty high up there in one of the NBA's biggest arenas but what I really liked was having a small section and not a lot of people around to bother me. If you root for the Knicks or Rangers, you will make a lot of friends in this section. Lots of passionate fans up there.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area too, always packed with Knicks fans before or after the game. You're only blocks away from Times Square, remember. Plenty of hotels in walking distance too, we always stay at the Holiday Inn Express on 29th. Cheap room, close to everything. You can't beat that.
