I've had seats in section 307 and 308 for different Heat games in the past. The upper level obviously doesn't provide as quality of an experience as the lower level but I like them because the seats are significantly cheaper. Don't be fooled, sure, the Heat are a hot ticket but you can still find good upper level seats for $30 a ticket. Especially for home games during the week. Any seat along the sidelines of the lower level will run close if not more than $100 per seat.
Anyway, try to sit in the first 8 rows. Those seats will be closest to the exit tunnel because if you're like me, you hate climbing the steps to your seats. The scoreboard at center court isn't as big as one would expect, so don't expect anything like what the Rockets or Lakers have.

The easiest way to get to the AAA is to take the Metro Mover to Park West Station. Parking isn't too much of a headache but taking public transit is a much quicker and safer way to venture to the arena. The food is expensive but tasty. The "Dawg House" had some excellent Italian sausages. If you're into Latin food, Bongo's Restaurant is attached to the arena and their food is also excellent.

To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 307, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Heat game at American Airlines Arena.
