Section 230 will definitely give you more of an end zone view than a sideline view; we were near the upper corner of the arena. Still not a bad seat, just stick as close to row 1 as possible. That way, there is no fan movement in front of you, just you and the court. I saw the Utah Jazz here in February of 2012, I'm a huge Jazz fan. I was surprised at how cordial the Pacers fans were to the visiting fans (even though most live in Indy). In the Northeast, I would have felt a little uneasy about wearing my Jazz jersey.

Bankers Life Fieldhouse is a beautiful arena with an older feel to it. All of the memorabilia in the hallways puts Indiana's rich basketball history on display front row center. The arena could stand to have more parking but if you want something to do either before or after the game, you just step outside of each entrance and it's all right there on Market and Washington Streets. Plenty of hotels in the area too, I recommend the Hilton.
