We've sat in section 114 twice for Mavs games in the past. I know because this section sits right next to the tunnel the visiting team runs out of and it's also really close to the bench the Mavs players use.
Since it sits near the tunnel, we had an elevated view of the court in row C. Made the viewing experience a good one. The best seats in this section though, are those that sit down in front and in the end zone (rows AA-LL). Rows A-Y will give fans in 114 more of a view from the corner rather than the end zone.

There is a "Bubba Burger" right outside of section 114 too. They had burgers, hand dipped corn dogs, regular hot dogs, beer and wine. All of it was very expensive but we assumed the long lines meant the food was worth the money! We were impressed!

The city of Dallas really needed an arena in it's downtown area, especially when the other two are in Arlington 25 miles away!
When walking up, the american airlines center is a massive spectacle! It resembles an old train station and is as modern as it gets among the 29 NBA arenas. On the North and Sound ends of the stadium, there are outdoor patios on the Platinum Level.
It's also in the historic Victory Park section of Dallas which is still developing a little more each year. There are plenty of hotels withing walking distance of this place and the DART line stops just outside of the arena so fans don't have to rely on parking in a garage or street meter.

To give you an idea what the view of the court is like from section 114, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Mavericks/Houston Rockets game at American Airlines Center.
