The Rogers Centre in Toronto is Tropicana Field but with a retractable roof. And they both suck. But at least Toronto plays in the downtown that the team is named after. Shouldn't the team be called the St. Petersburg Rays? I'm sure the confusion has caused many fans to book hotels in Tampa with no car in hopes of walking to the stadium and it being a 45 minute drive from downtown Tampa.
Anyway, we had 318, row H, seats 5 and 6. Not too bad but I've definitely had better. The 140s are the best for the money, those are the outfield seats to the left and right of batter's eye (dead center field where no seats are).
Every single seat faces the outfield so you will be looking slightly left to see the infield but this is only minor.
There was no room for our knees up there. If someone in our row wanted to exit, we all had to stand up. Now if you go to games at TBT Forum or Raymond James Stadium, you don't have those problems that I've noticed.
I think one thing that would enhance the experience for upper level patrons would be to make the main scoreboard bigger and take away all of those advertisements on the outfield wall. Probably not going to happen though.
