Seat view from section 254 at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals

We sat here on behalf of a friend who passes out tickets to Cards games all the time - not sure how he is able to get such good seats for free but he knows people, I guess.
254 is one of the many sections in the Redbird Club area. The view is excellent and it sits just above home plate with a great angle on the pitcher's mound as well. Being a little higher up, it adds depth to your view of the outfield so fans are really at an advantage sitting here. Best of all, the overhang from the Pavilion/Terrace provides a lot of shade to fans sitting in this section. I could sit here for every Cardinals game and never want to move.
If it's still cold in April, this is a great place to sit because you can warm up between innings in the lounge area. Same goes for the summers when it gets very hot; great area to cool off.
If you don't care about private access to lounges with plush seating, the field box seats are usually cheaper and are much closer to the field.

There are a few upscale food menus for fans in the Redbird Club but I like to eat at Mike Shannons or J Bucks before the game in downtown St. Louis. Al Hrabosky's joint is no longer across the street from Busch, it shut down a year or two ago.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 254, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Cardinals/Texas Rangers game at Busch Stadium.
