To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from Section 595, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Cardinals/New York Yankees game at Busch Stadium.

595 had an excellent view for bleacher seats. Usually the bleachers are in a lesser location of the ballpark (Citizens Bank, Fenway Park, Miller Park) but the bleacher seats are right on top of the field at Busch Stadium. They had backs to them at least (Wrigley Field's bleachers don't), so I leaned back the entire time and enjoyed the game. You'll get no protection from the sun out there so if you're sitting there for a day game in July, bring the sunscreen!
I would say shoot for the closest seats to the field if you want to be able to see the scoreboard in center field really well.
I've seen a good number of home runs hit to the left field bleachers on tv but had no such luck the day we went. But if you get to 595 during batting practice before the game, you should have no trouble bringing home a souvenier.

There was a really neat concession near our seats presented by Food Network and it allows fans to build their own hot dog and it has a few other hot dog options. We also passed numerous Dippin' Dots and Ben and Jerry's stands though I don't recall which sections they were near. Bring lots of cash if you don't want to bring your own food into the ballpark because everything costs an arm and a leg, even the popcorn.
