303 is considered part of the Pavilion deck in the upper outfield area. It's a much better alternative to the terrace seats, even the terrace seats behind home plate. That's not a fact, only my opinion.
You can't make out the pitches at all nor were we able to decipher the close throws made at first or second base without referring to the scoreboard. The scoreboard could be seen pretty well though it's on the complete opposite end of the stadium. It's a good sized scoreboard though. The out of town scoreboard cannot be seen from these seats, it's in the lower right field area. And to make matters worse, not once was I able to get a cell signal to check out scores around the league.

The upper levels at Citizens Bank Park are nothing like the top level of the old Veterans Stadium. That place was an absolute zoo and the fans just didn't know how to act. I think a lot of the rowdiest Phillies fans have been priced out of the market since the new stadium was erected. Yankee Stadium is seeing the same thing with their new ballpark. The atmosphere is just a little different.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 303, here is a Youtube video shot from there during a Phillies/New York Yankees game at Citizens Bank Park.
