All of the seats at New Yankee Stadium have good views of the field. We sat in section 205, row 13. Our seats were directly facing west, so it was very hot since the sun directly was in front of us at 7:30pm. We did not get much breeze either because of the location and since the stadium isn't too open aired like some of the other ballparks.
If you're visiting New York for a Yankees game, you would be foolish to also not plan a stop at Citi Field for a Mets game. That stadium is brand new and that way you can compare the two and decide which ballpark you like the most.
Believe it or not, general consensus is that the Mets have the better ballpark.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 205, here is a Youtube video shot from row 12 during a Yankees game at Yankee Stadium.

Section 205 sees a decent amount of home run balls; the seats are comfortable and easy to find. Most nights, you're looking at anywhere between $40-$60 for seats in this section. Even more if the Red Sox are in town.

I enjoyed my seats but I do enjoy being closer to the infield and down the third or first baseline. You just seem more in touch with the game whereas out in 205, it's easy to fade in and out and lose concentration. You will also likely get annoyed to have to keep turning your head right to see the jumbo display in center field. 205 is at a horrible angle for that.
