I say I don't miss Shea Stadium but I kinda do. But Citi Field is excellent and the seats are great all over as long as you're not in the last few rows on the promenade level or stuck behind an obstruction like a rail, foul pole, etc.
Had a really good view of the field down the third base side from 421, row 4. The 400s on paper or looking at the seating map will seem like a nose bleed seat but they're no where near as bad as I expected. We were elevated perfectly above the Astros dugout but weren't close enough to see a lot of activity near it like you can when you sit directly behind either dugout.
Each seat has perfect placement in terms of the angle each seat has. They Citi Field construction team really paid a lot of attention to detail except for in row 1 of some sections where the view is interfered with by the plexiglass and railing.

There is practically nothing near Citi Field in the way of food; it's a concrete desert. Yankee Stadium at least has a Mcdonald's outside of it. Fans are also not allowed to bring in their own food or drinks; even the Yankees allow fans to bring in outside items. So needless to say, unless you can go hours without eating, you're going to spend a lot of money on concession items. That's just the way it is but at least Citi Field has a Shake Shack and a Blue Smoke stand.
