There isn't a bad seat at Kauffman Stadium if you're sitting below the 400 level seats (Hy-Vee seats). If there is a right fielder in the game that you particularly are fond of, section 243 is the place to sit for you. Don't expect a ton of room for your knees and feet in this section and be prepared to stand if a fan in your row needs to exit for the concourse. All of the rows are double lettered rows so row AA will be the very first row.
243 is in the "Dugout Plaza" seating area of Kauffman. It's a good line of sight since it's a little higher up and further back than the Dugout Box Seats. I would avoid sections 247-250 because of the foul pole in right field and it's ability to block some parts of your view of the field.

Kauffman Stadium has some decent food options for a stadium with no dining outside of it. They have Papa John's Pizza in various locations and two restaurants that I've had good experiences at; the Rivals Sports Bar in right field and the .390 grill on the 2nd level in left field. Sheridan's Frozen Custard is always worth trying.
The fountains and the giant Crown Shaped scoreboard are obviously the two most recognizable features at Kauffman Stadium when watching on tv. The fountains add a very nostalgic feel but looking past the center field area, all you see is the Interstate and grass. Could you imagine if this place were built downtown? PNC Park in Pittsburgh wouldn't even be able to compete with it.
