Went to a Royals - Minnesota Twins game earlier this season. The 'fountain seats' as these seats are called are nothing to write home about. Couldn't even see the warning track in center field nor could we see the giant jumbotron in center field(2nd biggest in Major League Baseball). Would have been a really neat place to sit for the home run derby last year with all of the balls that were hit into the water below these seats. Personally, didn't think they should have added seats to the fountain area. Took away from it's beauty but I do like the reduced capacity after the renovations.
Not a ton of concessions outside of the Fountain seats, you'll want to venture down the first and third baselines to find the best available. Not a huge selection at Kauffman Stadium by way of food either and I was depressed to find out that they serve Pepsi products and not Coke. There are also no restaurants outside of Kauffman which gives fans even more of an incentive to bring their own food into the ballpark. Go buy some Arthur Bryant's BBQ and bring it with you. And almost $10 for a domestic beer brewed in St. Louis? No thanks, I'll pass.
The landscaping outside of the ballpark was very nice. Most ballparks aren't in the suburbs which is why I probably haven't see such good landscaping in my travels.
