I usually go to 5-10 Royals games each season which is a good chunk of them for a non season ticket holder. I sat in 123 most recently for a game against the Texas Rangers. Sat in row N but was still very happy with my seat selection. Every section is pretty much lettered A thru Z. Still felt really close to the field. The rows have so few seats, fans shouldn't worry about which seats are on the aisle. It was easy to get in and out of our row without becoming a burden to neighboring fans.
The Rangers dugout was to my left and their on deck circle was straight ahead down in front; took some great photos of the batter's as they were warming up.
The giant jumbo tron in center field will come as a big help throughout the game, the out of town scoreboard is next to the Royals bullpen in left field. But what takes the cake is the fountains in the outfield. Comerica Park in Detroit is the only ballpark I know of that has something similar and it's rarely on display.

If you're a first time visitor to Kauffman Stadium, be sure to ask the usher how you can get a certificate for your first game at the park. It's a neat souvenier and I collect them from the other ballparks I visit around the country. And yes, Kauffman is one of the best ballparks in the country despite my bias for the home team.

To give you an idea what the view of the field is like from section 123, here is a Youtube video shot from there before a Royals/Tampa Bay Rays game at Kauffman Stadium.
